The Rally To Restore Sanity/The March to Keep Fear Alive, hosted by Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert is being held in Washington D.C. today from 11:00am until 2:00pm central.
If heading to D.C. puts a cramp in your plans for enjoying part II of today's post and you still want to show your support for restoring sanity and reason to civil discourse, fret not.
Lee Harvey's, the south Dallas super dive, has your back.
They're opening early and broadcasting a simulcast of the event, providing a forum for your participation. You're even encouraged to bring a sign reflecting your sane or satirical point of view.
After the D.C. events end, Dallas' own take over with Dallas City Council member Angela Hunt, Human Rights Initiative Award winner Bill Holston, and intellectual satirist Rawlins Gilliland as guest speakers.
Personal point of interest: Wilco's Jeff Tweedy performs with Mavis Staples from the D.C. event at 12:40pm central.

The Emergency Artists' Support League, EASL, provides emergency funding for D/FW area visual artists and arts professionals who, in a time of crisis, may have nowhere else to turn. EASL is the only group in North Texas that directly helps visual artists in need.
To raise funds for their mission they offer the ART HEIST.
For the price of admission, you have an open bar, food and the opportunity to walk out red-handed with a piece of art from one of over 150 artists. You can also enter a raffle for other great prizes and more artwork.
